2. Admission criteria to the institutions

To be eligible for admission to JC, MI, Polytechnic and ITE, you must have:

JCGross L1R5 aggregate score of 20 and below.
MIGross L1R4 aggregate score of 20 and below.
PolytechnicNet ELR2B2 aggregate score of 26 and below for all courses except nursing.

  • Diploma in Nursing: Net ELR2B2 aggregate score of 28 and below.
ITESat for at least 5 O-Level subjects over a maximum of 2 years.

Note:

  • Gross aggregate score refers to your aggregate score before bonus points.
  • Net aggregate score refers to your aggregate score after deducting bonus points.
  • For admission to specific courses in these institutions, you will have to meet the minimum entry requirements of the courses.

Bonus points for admission

Bonus points are given for CCA grades, language grades and school affiliation in the computation of net aggregate scores.

Bonus points are used to determine the net aggregate scores of students during posting.

You can get a maximum of 4 bonus points from a combination of any of the following areas:

You can get an additional 2 bonus points if you are successfully selected for the Chinese, Malay or Tamil Language Elective Programmes.
