6. Acceptance of offer

If you are posted to a junior college (JC) or Millennia Institute (MI)

You must report to the JC or MI on 5 February 2020 following the release of the posting results. You may wear your secondary school uniform and bring your original identification documents (NRIC, student’s pass or passport) when you report.

Any student who does not report to the JC or MI on this date will be deemed to have forfeited their place. The place will then be made available to other eligible applicants appealing for a place in the course.

However, students who are posted to JC/MI and have returned from Mainland China on 22 January 2020 or later, should not report to their posted institutions on 5 February 2020. These students will be placed on Leave of Absence (LOA) for a period of 14 days, starting from the day after arrival in Singapore.

Example:

If the student returns to Singapore on 22 January 2020, LOA lasts from 23 January to 5 February and student will report to school on 6 February 2020.

Such students should instead call or email the JC/MI to confirm their place on 5 February 2020. Contact details of the JCs/MI can be found in SchoolFinder. The JC/MI will provide these students with necessary support for their schooling needs.

If you are waiting for an appeal outcome, you should still report to the school you are posted to. You should inform your posted JC or MI if your appeal is successful.

If you are posted to a polytechnic

If you are posted to the Institute of Technical Education (ITE)

You should receive an enrolment letter within 3 working days upon the release of JAE posting results. You are required to accept the course offer online by the date stated in the letter.
